Beach vacation

Ben, Cade, and I were able to enjoy a week in Dunedin, Florida which is near Tampa.  We rented a house which was right on the bay.   There were lots of beautiful sunsets!

Here some pictures of the house.  It was worked out perfectly for us!

Our view from the house

Our dock was covered and had plenty of chairs so Cade & I could enjoy it while Ben was fishing or kayaking.

Ben did some fishing.  Here was his first catch during night fishing- a shark!

Sheepshead eating barnacles off the dock

Bringing in a sheepshead

It was delicious!

Ben waded out in the water at low tide for fishing.  It's hard to see, but he is about waist deep.

A failed attempt at a walk-- the mosquitoes were awful so we turned around!

Cade's first time at the beach

Our makeshift shade

Snorkeling

Toes in the sand for the first time!

Another shark

A very, very delicious Thai meal!  In fact, it was the best we have had since traveling to Thailand 2 years ago.  We were able to enjoy lots of different food on this trip.  We had Cuban, Indian, Spanish, and Thai food.  All delicious!

I love this expression that Cade makes when he is very intent on trying to reach for something!  Look at those long fingers!

Ben kayaking.  We saw a manatee and he was trying to get closer to it to see it up close and personal.

The front of the house that we rented.  There were 4 units in this building.

Cade turned 6 months old while we were in Florida and here is a picture of that special day!  We had a great time together.  Relaxation is just what we needed after a week at Disney World.
